Creative Project Manager (Full-Time)

The Creative Project Manager is responsible for owning overall project delivery across STN Digital’s client and internal initiatives. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations, creative standards, and business goals.
You will manage project timelines, workflows, resource allocation, budgets, and cross-functional communication. This role sits within the Project Management team and partners closely with Creative, Social, Production, and Accounts teams to ensure successful project delivery.
This role operates with a high level of accountability in project delivery, maintaining visibility across all moving parts while proactively identifying risks and driving solutions.

The Role
The Creative Project Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of creative work within STN Digital’s pod-based structure. From initial scoping through final delivery, you will oversee timelines, manage resources, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
You will collaborate closely with Creative, Social, Production, and Accounts teams to align on scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining visibility into overall project health.
This role balances hands-on project management execution with ongoing improvements to workflows and team efficiency; however, delivery excellence, clarity, and communication are the primary priorities.
What You’ll Do
Project Delivery & Timeline Management
Own end-to-end project delivery across client and internal initiatives
Build, manage, and maintain detailed project timelines, work orders, and workflows
Translate client needs, creative direction, and business objectives into structured project plans
Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations
Lead internal check-ins, status updates, and milestone reviews to maintain alignment across teams
Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies early, and proactively drive resolution
Maintain clear documentation and communication across all phases of a project
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner closely with Creative, Social, Production, and Accounts teams to align on priorities and deliverables
Collaborate with production partners to ensure execution aligns with project timelines, scope, and expectations
Lead resource allocation decisions across projects, balancing team capacity, skillsets, and priorities
Facilitate internal and client-facing meetings, ensuring clarity on next steps and expectations
Ensure all stakeholders have the information and context needed to execute successfully
Resource & Capacity Planning
Lead daily and weekly capacity planning across Creative teams
Assign and prioritize work based on timelines, team bandwidth, and project needs
Forecast resource needs based on upcoming work, campaigns, and tentpole events
Maintain visibility into internal and freelance resource availability
Support onboarding and integration of freelancers or Independent Contractors as needed
Escalate capacity risks and recommend solutions to maintain delivery timelines
Budget & Financial Oversight
Develop and manage project budgets in partnership with Accounts and production stakeholders
Track project performance against budget and proactively flag risks to margin
Recommend adjustments to timelines, resources, or scope to maintain profitability
Maintain working knowledge of market rates to inform staffing and budget decisions
Reconcile project costs and validate time tracking to ensure accurate billing
Process & Workflow Optimization
Uphold and improve project management workflows, tools, and best practices
Ensure consistent use of project management systems (e.g., Wrike) across teams
Identify inefficiencies and partner with Project Management leadership to improve processes
Maintain clean, detailed project documentation for visibility and future reference
Contribute to scalable systems that support growth across pods
Who You Are
3+ years of experience in project management, account management, or similar roles
Experience working within agency, sports, entertainment, or creative environments
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Strong understanding of how creative work is developed and delivered
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and systems-thinking capabilities
Comfortable managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders
Proactive in identifying risks and solving problems before they escalate
Strong communicator with the ability to align teams and manage expectations
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Available for occasional travel and flexible to support select evening or weekend needs

Creative, Production, and Accounts teams feel aligned and supported throughout project lifecycles
Timelines, resources, and priorities are clearly communicated and effectively managed

Type: Full-Time
Compensation: CA-based salary range is $60,246 - $74,928 plus benefits. Actual compensation is dependent on experience, location and job-related qualifications and may vary for positions outside of California.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in project or account management roles
Experience working with creative teams and/or client services environments
Familiarity with project management tools (Wrike or similar platforms preferred)
Experience managing budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams
Sports and entertainment industry experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
Comfortable working remotely for 40 hours/week with the understanding that working within the sports and entertainment industry will require evening and/or weekend work.
Occasional travel for client meetings, internal meetings or client on-sites required.
